About the hilltopper athletic foundation

Since 1965, the HAF has served as the financial lifeblood for WKU Athletics helping to fund the overall student-athlete experience at Western Kentucky University. The purposes of the Foundation is to provide the necessary scholarships and other financial assistance to allow as many student athletes as possible the opportunity for an athletic and academic experience at WKU and to further support WKU Athletics through private support and visibility.

WHat is the hilltopper athletic foundation?

Highlighted by robust benefits, including home athletic contest priority seating rights, support through the Athletic Access Fund was created for those who like to support the Tops in person! Investors to WKU Athletics through the Athletic Access Fund earn the opportunity, through priority points, to qualify for and improve their seating location for season tickets, gain access to premium seating and hospitality areas, and can be eligible for enhanced parking locations on campus. While gifts to the Athletic Access Fund are not tax-deductible, our supporters are able to gain valuable access to home athletic contests.

RETURN ON INVESTMENT

While wins and losses matter – all of our teams and student-athletes put forth a ‘Championship Effort’ in competition – the real return on investment comes from the well-rounded experience our students get while on The Hill.

Since joining Conference usa

In 2018, the HAF had a $6 MILLION GAP in fulfilling the costs of student athlete scholarships. Financial resources from other revenue sources, including university assistance, are used to meet scholarship needs. This scholarship funding deficit in turn impacts resources that can be otherwise used to enhance the critical areas of RECRUITING, ACADEMIC SUPPORT, FACILITY ENHANCEMENTS, TRAVEL and EQUIPMENT.
