Supporting the areas of greatest need, the HAF Annual Fund provides comprehensive support to all programs and teams, the general operating budget of WKU Athletics, and support student-athletes scholarship and cost-of-attendance needs for the over 350 student-athletes on the Hill.
Beginning in 2019, donors have two options for support of the Annual Fund: the Athletics Access Fund or the Championship Effort Fund.
The true backbones of support to WKU Athletics, both funds provide necessary funding in support of the full student-athlete experience at Western Kentucky University
Annual fund support (or “membership”) comes with a host of benefits associated with either fund.
The foundation of WKU Athletics and the HAF is the Annual Fund. Comprised of all donors supporting the annual budgetary needs of WKU Athletics – including many season ticket holders – the Annual Fund provides needed support for 16 teams and nearly 350 student-athletes.
Highlighted by robust benefits, including home athletic contest priority seating rights (home and away/post-season), support through the Athletic Access Fund was created for those who like to support the Tops in person!
Investors to WKU Athletics through the Athletic Access Fund earn the opportunity, through priority points, to qualify for and improve their seating location for season tickets, gain access to premium seating and hospitality areas, and can be eligible for enhance parking locations on campus.
While gifts to the Athletic Access Fund are not tax-deductible, our supporters are able to gain valuable access to home athletic contests.
Donors to the Championship Effort Fund are supporting the greatest need for WKU Athletics – our annual fund, but are either giving above and beyond minimum seating requirements for season tickets, or not in need of home seating priority points.
Driven by philanthropy, donors to the Championship Effort Fund are directly investing in the success of WKU Athletics on an annual basis. Earning a unique set of benefits, including tax deductibility, these gifts provide our donors unique experiences, opportunities, and away/neutral venue seating priority points.
